Curatorial Narrative In the anonymous Neoclassical work “Harpsichord lesson for young girl”, created in 1914, we find an intriguing example of early 20th-century artistic revivalism. The figurative subject is treated with a fine brushwork, characteristic of the period’s emphasis on technical skill, as seen in the masterful rendering of folds and texture in the young pupil’s dress.
